- What IS included in our fixed fee divorce?
- Advising you about your options in relation to divorce and advising you about a draft divorce petition and statement of arrangements for children prepared by your husband/wife’s solicitors, helping you to negotiate any necessary changes to that documentation.
- Advising you when you receive the divorce petition from the court office and helping you to complete all the legal documents required for an uncontested divorce.
- Writing to the court and to your husband/wife or his/her solicitors as necessary in relation to the divorce.
- Keeping you advised about progress at all stages.
- Advising you about the prospects, as respondent, of applying for the decree absolute if necessary.

- What is NOT included in our fixed fee divorce?
- Any court fees. Most of the fees for a divorce are paid by the petitioner but if you have to apply for the decree absolute you will have to pay a court fee, currently £155.00. You can apply to the court for a reduction or exemption. This process is quite complicated; please ask us if you would like us to explain it to you.

- Dealing with a divorce with a foreign element.
- Advising the co-respondent where a co-respondent is named in the divorce petition.
- Proceedings or correspondence to resolve financial matters, but take a look at our “fixed fees in financial remedy following divorce” package.
- Proceedings or correspondence relating to children.
- The cost of any extra applications that may need to be made to the court during the court process, these are quite unusual, and we would discuss the likely cost before we get involved.
